WHO WE ARE
Our Board of directors is made up of five black working women, who are passionate in promoting change within the region. We noticed that distribution of resources was disproportionate within the community. As members of the community, we decided to advocate for equitable allocation of resources. That's when we established the Ebony Collective CDC. A culturally specific organization whose work, policies and decision making are centered around our BIPOC community. Our organization spans to Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington county.

A world where there are no barriers for African Americans to access resources, education, and gathering peacefully in order to live in a prosperous community.

Culture is essential. It allows us to have space to express ourselves through art, educating people on our history, and helping communities have a self-reliant way to congregate around their beliefs.
Creativity happens when we produce programming and advocacy. We create our best work when we have passion and commitment around supporting efforts of a better life.
Honesty is the best policy and practice when it comes to having transparency in the community. We take pride and integrity in being held accountable when things are not right.
We are Resourceful in our ability to overcome our historic trauma to reach a more prosperous lifestyle. We do this by being quick, clever and impactful in our process towards solving problems.
Open-mindedness occurs when we are willing to consider new ideas, opinions and partnerships that are different from our own.
Compassion in our effort to support people who have overcome barriers and trauma; we assist by applying empathetic practices to the needs of youth, individuals and families.
